Privacy

This site has no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixel and no cookie banner, because there is nothing here that would need one. Nothing on these pages watches you read them.

Two forms on this site do collect what you type into them. This page says exactly what happens to it.

One

Writing to Vasyl

If you fill in Write to Gnome Vasyl, what is collected is what you wrote in the fields: your name, your email, and what you told us about the person the letter is for.

No postal address is asked for here, and none should be given. If a letter goes ahead, the address is given later, with the order, on Etsy.

It is used for one thing: to write back to you about that request. Nothing is subscribed to, nothing is sold, nothing is passed to anyone else, and no other message is ever sent to that address.

It is kept for up to two years from the last reply, then deleted. You may ask for it to be deleted sooner.

Two

The research report form

If you took part in a study of the Post, your report form is stored under the code you were given — D00 — and nothing else. The form asks for no email and no address. It asks for no name either, with one exception: the separate question about permission to quote at the end offers the option of being named, and whoever chooses it writes there how they would like to be named. The field is optional and only filled in by someone who asked for it.

Your name and how to reach you are held separately, by the person who invited you, and are never attached to your answers or passed on with them.

Your answers are kept exactly as you wrote them, without correction. They are read only by TaleWorld. Nothing you wrote is published unless you gave permission on the form itself — permission to take part and permission to be quoted are two separate questions, and you can say yes to one and no to the other.

Raw answers are kept for five years as the record of the study, then deleted. Contact details are deleted three months after the study ends.

Three

Who else touches it

The site is hosted by Netlify, and the two forms are delivered and stored by Netlify's own form service. That means what you send passes through their servers on its way here. They do not use it for anything of their own.

There is no other company involved. No mailing list service, no analytics company, no advertising network, no third-party fonts or embeds — every file this page loads comes from this site.

Four

Asking for it back, or asking for it gone

Write and ask. You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted — including after a study, and without giving a reason. Deleting your answers does not affect anything else, and nothing is asked in return.

Write to hello@taleworldstudio.com. Please include the email used in the request, or the participant code used in the study, so the correct record can be found.
